NINTH ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON THE GREAT REVIVAL


The Conference on the Great Revival of the Southern Armies runs 24 - 26 June in Bridgewater, Virginia, at Turner Ashby High School. The conference will open with a lecture on Thomas Goode Jones by Dr. John Eidsmoe, professor of Constitutional Law at Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama. Among the other speakers will be William Potter of the Williamsburg Civil War Round Table, Fr. Alister Anderson of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and Dr. Charles Baker. The conference will also include monologues from the diaries and writings of Southern women during the war.

Bridgewater is centrally located for tours of Virginia's battlefields and historic sites. Participants will have the opportunity to meet and interview authors and lecturers familiar with Virginia's military and religious history.
