THE PASSAGGIO MINISTRY IN ITALY

Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days - Ecclesiastes 11:1

Usually from February to June of each year has been the time in which the work was very intensive because we have to be ready with the new titles coming up and the conference of May. But now we have a new busy season during August-October. This is due to the new Pastoral Conference Passaggio held the 2nd week-end of October and also for the new titles we would like to publish.

We thank God for His blessing for the conference we had 12-13 October: the theme was THE PREACHING & THE PREACHER and the speaker was past José Moreno (Spain). For this occasion Passaggio has published 2 new titles: PREACHING & PREACHERS by Dr M. Lloyd-Jones and TODAY'S Gospel by WJ Chantry. The Pastoral Conference was based in Florence and we had 76 brethren joining the meeting.

In addition to this, a Brethren church in South Italy has asked Passaggio to have the same kind of conference in a place called Orta Nova (near Foggia, Adriatic Sea). Here we have the highest concentration of non-Pentecostal evangelicals. The strange thing is that this area is well known to us for having strong anti-Calvinistic doctrinal positions. So we went there wondering how many would come to listen the addresses and maybe expecting to have to discuss matters in ways we do not love to discuss. But the Lord who is sovereign was very good! On Saturday we had 70 people coming, and on Sunday about 100. Even the church in Foggia could not believe it. We do believe that Pastor José Moreno has been guided by the Lord for leading the congregation with love, with respect of the situation but also with authority to the Truth. On Sunday evening we could feel in the hall a sense of a blessed time and the leaders of the church has asked Passaggio to come to the church in Orta Nova to have the same conference we held in May and in October.

There is a Bible verse that has been always in my mind during this last 9 years of ministry with Passaggio:

Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. Ecclesiastes 11:1

Maybe, today is time to see the fruits of all this hard work.

So, we do ask you to keep praying God for us, especially for those now who are reading the Passaggio books and for those who are coming to a new understanding of the doctrines of grace.
