CROUCHING LAMB, HIDDEN LION

Rev. William Roberts of the Reformation Translation Fellowship in his latest letter to supporters tells what he saw in China late last year. An excerpt:

". In the resort town of Hangchou . we met with a dedicated group of 12 seminary students. They are giving the next three years of their lives to receive M.Div. training in secret. They are from all over China and come together for two months to receive training and then are back home for a month. They will continue to do this, moving from city to city, until they have completed all the course work . . .

"Also in Hangchou I was able to meet with 'Elder Khia.' He is an older Christian who has in the last few years become very enthusiastic about the Reformed faith. He currently produces 10,000 copies of a Chinese edition of a Faith and Life Quarterly, which is distributed to church leaders throughout China.

"He is actively pursuing a plan to get all the RTF books printed legally in China. The project will be expensive, but will make RTF books widely and legally available throughout China. Please pray for the success of this project. Also pray for safety for those involved in secret leadership training taking place in hundreds of locations throughout China."
